Packing for a normal trip to Bali is easy enough. Add a rooftop tent and the possibility of waking up somewhere with no hotel, shop or warung around the corner, and you need to think a little differently.

The good news is that you don’t need to bring your entire house with you. With a TygerRider, most of the camping equipment is already there, so what you pack is mostly about making yourself comfortable.
The camping gear is already there
The TygerRider comes with a rooftop tent, mattress, pillows, blankets and bedding, as well as a camping stove, cookware, chairs, a small table and drinking water. There’s also a 600W battery for charging your devices, plus a Bluetooth speaker, fairy lights, games and two yoga mats.

So there is no need to arrive carrying a tent, sleeping bag, saucepan and half the camping aisle from the hardware store.
What you bring is up to you.
Clothes for more than one Bali
Bali isn’t the same temperature everywhere. Spend the day at the beach and you’ll probably be wondering why anyone ever invented trousers, but head towards Kintamani or Bedugul and you’ll be glad you packed something warmer once the sun goes down.

Bring lightweight clothes for the day, something warmer for the evening, long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, swimwear and comfortable shoes. Sandals are useful too, particularly if the campsite is near the beach.
A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are obvious, but don’t forget insect repellent. And bring clothes you’re not afraid to get a little dirty. Camping has a way of finding the one clean shirt left in your bag.
Bring something for the rain
It’s Bali. Even when the forecast looks perfect, rain can still appear with impressive enthusiasm, particularly in the mountains

A lightweight rain jacket or poncho takes almost no space in your bag and can save a perfectly good evening. A waterproof bag for your phone and other electronics is also worth packing. Wet clothes are annoying; a wet phone is considerably more expensive.
Keep food simple
One of the best parts of camping is making something to eat outside. You don’t need to plan a five-course menu or fill the car with three days of groceries. Pick up some eggs, bread, fruit, noodles, snacks and.Fortunatelly, we already got you sorted with tea and coffee.

The stove and cookware are already in the car, so you can stop somewhere, cook something simple and eat outside. And breakfast somehow tastes better when you’re looking at a beach, forest or mountain instead of a hotel buffet.
What you probably don’t need
This is where the TygerRider makes things easy. You don’t need to bring a tent, sleeping bags, camping chairs or cooking equipment, and there is no reason to fill the car with every camping gadget you’ve ever seen on Instagram.
The whole point is that the camping setup travels with you.
Check the weather before you leave and make sure you know what facilities are available at your destination. If you’re heading somewhere remote, bring enough food and water and make sure your phone is charged.
After that, leave some room for the unexpected. You might find a beach worth stopping at, a mountain view worth staying for or simply a place where you decide that tonight’s plan is doing absolutely nothing.

Pack light, bring what you need and leave some room for whatever happens next.
The rest is already on the roof.
